Privacy Policy

In short: Recaho Extender does not track your general browsing, shows no ads, and never sells your data. It handles three things: (1) the order and dispatch information it imports from the Recaho POS account you're already logged into, so it can be shown on your dispatch board and passed to the assigned rider; (2) your email address, used only to sign you in with a one-time code; and (3) anonymous usage statistics about how the extension itself is used, to help improve it. Each of these is explained in full below.
This policy covers the Recaho Extender Chrome extension and the Recaho Extender Companion mobile app (together, the "Service"). Recaho Extender is built and maintained by a single independent developer, who is also the data controller for the Service.
Who we are

Your email address and sign-in
To use the extension you sign in with your email address. We send a six-digit one-time code to that address, and you enter the code to confirm it's you. This is the only way the extension identifies your account and knows which stores belong to you.
- What is collected: your email address, and a sign-in token issued after you enter the correct code.
- Why: solely to authenticate you and link your account to the stores whose dispatch boards you are allowed to see. Without it there is no way to keep one merchant's orders separate from another's.
- Where it goes: your email is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to
our order service at
recaho-helper-api.onrender.com, where the account record is stored. - Consent: before you type your email, the extension shows a notice explaining this and asks you to tick a box to agree. Nothing is sent until you do.
- What we never do with it: we do not sell it, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or send you marketing email. The only email you receive is the sign-in code you requested.
- Removal: you can request deletion of your account and email address at any time — see "Your rights and choices" below.
Signing out from the extension clears the stored sign-in token from your browser.
What data the extension processes
When you use Recaho Extender on your Recaho POS pages, it reads and imports the following information, using your own logged-in POS session, in order to build your dispatch board:
- Order details (items, order ID, order time, order status, payment status, amounts)
- Customer delivery information attached to the order (e.g. name, address, phone number, email), as already present in your Recaho POS
- Delivery photos you choose to attach to an order (e.g. proof of pickup or delivery)
- Rider assignments you make (which rider is assigned to which order)
This data is imported via a secure API so it can be displayed on your dispatch board and made available to the specific rider it is assigned to in the Recaho Extender Companion app. It is not read from, or applied to, any site other than your Recaho POS.
Order data is only uploaded when you choose to upload it. The extension shows you exactly what will change before anything is sent, and nothing is transmitted until you confirm.
Usage analytics
To understand which features are used and where the extension is failing, we record anonymous usage statistics using PostHog, an analytics provider. This data is sent to PostHog's servers in the United States.
- What is recorded: interactions with the extension's own settings popup, and product events such as an upload being performed, together with a randomly generated identifier stored on your device.
- What is not recorded: we do not enable session recording, and we do not send customer names, phone numbers, addresses, order contents, or the web addresses of the pages you visit. Analytics on your Recaho POS pages is limited to explicit product events only — the page's content and URL are deliberately stripped before anything is sent.
- Identifier: the identifier is a random value created on your device. It is not your email address and is not derived from it.
- What it is never used for: advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
What the mobile app processes
The Recaho Extender Companion app, used by delivery riders, only shows orders that have been assigned to that rider by the dispatch board. Riders can update delivery status, and view any photo or delivery details attached to their assigned orders. The app does not request access to a rider's contacts, files, or other apps.
What we don't do
- We don't track your general browsing or your activity on sites unrelated to the Service.
- We don't use advertising identifiers, ad networks, or any form of ad targeting.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising.
- We don't read or import order data from any website other than the Recaho POS pages the extension is designed for.
- We don't store your Recaho POS login credentials — the extension uses your existing, already-authenticated browser session.
- We don't record your screen or capture your keystrokes.
How data is stored and secured
Imported order and dispatch data, and your account email, are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored only for as long as needed to operate the dispatch and delivery workflow — for example, so a completed order's status and photo remain visible on your dispatch board. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting sabin.sth44@gmail.com.
Data sharing
Order and delivery data is only shared between your dispatch board (Chrome extension) and the specific rider assigned to that order (via the Companion app). The only other third party involved is our analytics provider, PostHog, which receives the anonymous usage statistics described above and no order or customer data.
Your rights and choices
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of data associated with your account, including your email address.
- You can decline the sign-in notice and simply not use the extension — no email is collected unless you agree to it.
- You can uninstall the Chrome extension or delete the mobile app at any time to stop all data processing.

Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business use by merchants and their delivery riders, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date above.
